Serbia – LAF Study Tour – Protection and management of water resources

As part of the Local Administration Facility (LAF) we are announcing an open call for interested participants representing local self- governments in a study tour related to ‘Protection and Management of water resources' which is to be held from 24 to 26 April 2013 in Brussels.

 

The aim of this study tour is to give local and regional representatives the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the area of Protection and management of water resources. They will also have the chance to exchange best practices with colleagues from the EU member states.

The EU Delegation in Serbia will select up to 6 representatives of local self-government units (cities / towns, municipalities and city municipalities) to participate in this study tour. Participants will be selected from throughout Serbia, and advantage will be given to municipal employees who work in the subject area, and have limited experience in cooperation with the EU, so the study tour would bring them maximum benefit. Applicants need to be aware that one of the requirements for participation is an excellent working knowledge of the English language, as the programme of the visits is to be held exclusively in English. Also, participants should put the presentation on protection and water resources management topic, together per country of about 5-7 minutes.

We ask all interested participants to send us the following documentation, in English, at the latest by, Wednesday 13 March 2013, 17:00 hours:

  • Letter of intent (free format, including suggestions and recommendations regarding your plans to help further distribute the knowledge gained on this study tour to other LSGs. An example is provided for you, but you are free to create and amend the format as you see fit),
  • Participants Application Form,
  • CV in the EU format,
  • Confirmation letter signed by the Mayor / President (please find the format attached)
  • Letters of Recommendation (not obligatory, but will be considered an advantage)
