As part of the Local Administration Facility (LAF) we are announcing an open call for interested participants representing local self- governments in a study tour related to ‘EU entrepreneurship and SME policies at local level' which is to be held from 22 to 24 May 2013 in Brussels.
The aim of this study tour is to give local and regional representatives the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the area of EU entrepreneurship and SME policies at local level. They will also have the chance to exchange best practices with colleagues from the EU member states.
The EU Delegation in Serbia will select up to 6 representatives of local self-government units (cities / towns, municipalities and city municipalities) to participate in this study tour. Participants will be selected from throughout Serbia, and advantage will be given to municipal employees who work in the subject area, and have limited experience in cooperation with the EU, so the study tour would bring them maximum benefit. Applicants need to be aware that one of the requirements for participation is an excellent working knowledge of the English language, as the programme of the visits is to be held exclusively in English. Also, participants should put the presentation on EU entrepreneurship and SME policies at local level, together per country of about 5-7 minutes.
