36 projects under the "EU Support to Roma Inclusion" program

The implementation of 36 projects under the grant scheme of the program "EU Support to Roma Inclusion - Strengthening Local Communities for Roma Inclusion" started by the official signing of the grant contracts on September 3, 2019 at the premises of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM). The program is implemented by the SCTM and is funded by the European Union.

The Grant Scheme supports projects aimed at strengthening the position of the Roma population in local communities through the implementation of priority national and local strategic measures in the field of employment, combating discrimination and promoting equality of the Roma population.

The value of the grant scheme is 2 million euros, the value of the grants is 40 to 60 thousand euros, and the duration of the projects is 9 to 15 months.

Within Party 1: Active Employment Initiative for the Roma Population, an estimated 1.4 million Euros for the employment of the Roma population have been allocated to the following local self-governments:

• City Municipality Stari grad
• Municipality of Odžaci
• Municipality of Bač
• Town of Vranje
• Town of Novi Sad – Directorate for Economy
• Town of Smederevo
• Municipality of Vladičin Han
• Town of Požarevac
• Town of Niš
• Town of Novi Pazar
• Municipality of Veliko Gradište
• Town of Vršac
• Municipality of Opovo
• City Municipality Novi Beograd
• Town of Valjevo
• Municipality of Vrnjačka Banja
• Municipality of Apatin
• Municipality of Bela Palanka
• Municipality of Požega
• Town Municipality Crveni Krst Niš
• Town of Kraljevo
• City Municipality Zvezdara
• Municipality of Žabalj

Within Party 2: Combating Discrimination and Promoting the Equality of the Roma Population, EUR 600,000 was allocated for projects that support the fight against discrimination and promote equality of the Roma population to the following local self-governments:
