Annual SCTM Assembly - 14-17 December
In accordance with the Statute of the SCTM, the 48th General Assembly of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities - Association of Towns and Municipalities of Serbia will be held in the period from 14 to 17 December 2020. Having in mind the epidemiological situation, this year's gathering will be held through electronic communication platforms.
The electronic session of the SCTM Assembly will be held from Monday, December 14 to Wednesday, December 17, 2020, through a platform for electronic sessions during which all members will have the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed decisions and documents.
The final event of the 48th Assembly of the SCTM will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020, starting at 12:00 and will be broadcasted via the ZOOM platform, as well as the official YouTube channel and the Facebook page of the SCTM. The main topic of the final gathering will be "Potentials and challenges in the development of local self-government in the next decade".
On this occasion, the participants will be addressed by Marija Obradovic, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Antonio Ratkovic, President of the SCTM and the Mayor of Sombor, and Djordje Stanicic, Secretary General of the SCTM. In the second part of the meeting, a panel discussion will be held in which Minister Obradovic, Mr. Ratkovic, and Mr. Sasa Mogic, Assistant Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government will participate, as well as Mr. Frédéric Vallier, Secretary General of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions, Mr. Andreas Kiefer, Secretary General of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, and Mr. Emanuil Manolov, Mayor of Pavlikeni Municipality, Bulgaria and the President of the National Association of Local Self- Governments of the Republic of Bulgaria (NAMRB).
During the meeting, the SCTM will sign agreements on cooperation with the Sports Federation of Serbia, and with the Novak Djokovic Foundation.
This year's Assembly of the SCTM is organized with the help of the project "Institutional Support to the SCTM - Third Phase", funded by the Government of Switzerland, and the program "Support to Local Governments in Serbia on the Road to the EU - Second Phase", funded by the Government of Sweden.
