Providing capacity building for local level inspectors and newly elected local councilors through eLearning courses

E-learning courses on inspection surveillance from April to June 2016 offered participants key knowledge and information on the new Law on Inspection Surveillance, with details on the content and the types, forms and procedure of inspection, the rights and duties of the participants in inspection process and other issues of importance for inspection. More than 1,240 participants registered, representing 110 cities, municipalities and city municipalities throughout Serbia. Over 1140 participants successfuly finished e-course and recived certificate. Evaluation of e-learning course by the participants gave feedback on e-couse from 1 to 5 in the range of 4.4 to 4.84.

E-learning course for new councillors of local assemblies was held from October to December 2016. E-course had a goal to provide information on key areas of importance for the management of local governments, such as: the concept of decentralization, local self-government system in Serbia, authorities and organizations of LSGs, area and scope LSG, public service established by the LSG, LSG financing, participation of citizens in the management of public affairs, LSG relations with other authorities, institutions and organizations etc. Around 450 local councelours from 89 cities, municipalities and urban municipalities participated in this e-course.
