The project "Let’s Support the Right to Live Better" is guided by the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the commitment of the European Union to support and advocate for human rights, aiming to build an inclusive society based on rights, dedicated to diversity, equality, and equal participation of all citizens.

The project is implemented with the aim of supporting and empowering sustainable social services to improve the position of marginalized groups, enhance or maintain the quality of life; reduce vulnerability, social exclusion, and poverty.  By continuing to provide open forms of social and health care and support, a preventive response is ensured to the process of institutionalization of the elderly and individuals with mental difficulties, who would remain in their family environment and community.

The overall goal of the project "Enhanced and Implemented Social Protection Services" is focused on a proactive approach to challenges in this area and the establishment and improvement of social protection services.  The first specific objective of the project "Improvement of Social Protection Services at the Local Level" is based on the Employment and Social Policy Reform Program in the process of accession to the European Union (2016 - 2017), which envisages improving the quality of services, strengthening control and regulatory mechanisms, monitoring, and evaluation.  Institutionalizing partnerships with relevant public institutions represents the creation of a social protection system that will simultaneously meet the numerous and increasingly complex needs of citizens and the capacities of the existing social protection system at the local level, which represents the second specific goal of the project, Strengthening capacities for the prevention of institutionalization.

The long-term impact of the intervention will be achieved with the following results: Improved public policy documents and enhanced prevention of institutionalization; Strengthened human and technical capacities in the Center for Social Work and the Municipality of Medveđa; Made a contribution to raising the awareness of citizens in realizing their rights.

The main activities of the project that will enable the achievement of these results are:  Improvement of conditions for the development, provision, and delivery of social protection services at the level of the Municipality of Medveđa, Improvement of the quality of social protection services, and Capacity building of the Center for Social Work in Medveđa.
