Municipality of Temerin |
PROJECT TITLE: Equality for All
VALUE: EUR 94,719
DURATION: 12 months
PARTNER: Center for Social Work of the Municipality of Temerin
BENEFICIARIES: 30 children and youth at highest risk of displacement into social welfare institutions, primarily: children and youth with developmental disabilities, children and youth from devastated families, children without parents/adequate care, children who have left institutions/foster care, and other vulnerable children and youth.
The project "Equality for All" represents a natural continuation of the strategic commitment and planned support measures for the vulnerable population by the local government, processes that began in the reformist 2000s and continue to this day. The municipality of Temerin has opted for responsible support for the vulnerable population, primarily focusing on children, youth, and their families. With the municipal development plan for the period 2022-2030, one of the priority goals is the improvement of social protection, health care, and social inclusion through strengthening existing and introducing new available social protection services in the community.
The project "Equality for All" contributes to establishing sustainable social services and inclusion policies in the community. Specific goals of the project include improving the quality of life and integration of the most vulnerable social groups of children and youth at risk, primarily young people with developmental disabilities and their families. The expected results will contribute to an increase in the number of beneficiaries of various services and an expansion in the scope and quality of social protection services in the community. Successful implementation of project activities will: enhance the daily service of stay for children and young people with disabilities; establish two missing social welfare services in the community (home support service for children and families and the 'supported living for youth at risk' service); increase the standard of quality and financial-legal and institutional mechanisms for sustainable planning and realization of social protection in the municipality of Temerin. A review of the needs database for vulnerable users will be provided, and a network of accredited services that trained service providers in the community will offer. Beneficiaries will be provided with organized transportation for the daily stay service and allocated two residential units for the stay and housing of young people. This project most directly protects fundamental rights and freedoms: the right to live in a family and natural environment, the right to adequate care and social protection, the quality of housing for young people with disabilities so that social protection system beneficiaries can meet most of their needs in a natural environment. This ensures a more humane approach, support for both the individual and the family.
This project will provide, long-awaited, the integration of social welfare services into an integrated network of local social protection services in the municipality of Temerin to improve the quality of life and integration of the most vulnerable social groups of children and youth. This will ensure long-term integrated support for social, health care, housing, employment, and community integration. It will improve, redefine, and standardize the quality of social protection at the local level.
